As a result of expanding our organization, we are currently looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join our fast-growing and challenging organization.
Job Description: As a Logistics Supervisor, you will oversee the container logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to manage and inspire a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of container logistics, including shipping, tracking.
- Coordinate and collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes.
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international regulations.
- Manage a team of more than five people.
- Supervise, train, and support logistics team members.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics to improve operational efficiency.
- Resolve issues and discrepancies related to logistics operations.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to commitments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a focus on maritime.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage and lead a team of more than five people.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal customers.
- High agility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local and international logistics regulations.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new database programs and software.
- Strong reporting skills with the ability to compile and present data effectively.
