Purpose of Role:In order to achieve the Weir Minerals METCA Lean & CI Strategic Plan for growth we must improve the efficiency of our manufacturing and back-office operations around region. This position will be the hands-on leader that follows and executes the Lean direction for the assigned region. The incumbent will lead project teams to improve the effectiveness of processes. Through the adaption then adoption of applied Lean principles and techniques this role must be effective in a wide variety of cultural environments and influential from the plant floor to the executive offices in our organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Lean principles and tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, Daily Management System, Leader Standard Work, Lean Accounting, Hoshin Kanri, Change Management, 5S, SOP, TPM, 7QC Tools, PDCA, SMED, MTTR, MTBF, OEE, etc.
• Support and guide the business to achieve targets for On-Time Delivery, Inventory Turns, and Cost of Poor Quality, and collaborate with the Planning function to improve schedule adherence and attainment using lean tools like Heijunka and Kanban systems.
• Implement Continuous Improvement strategies across all business areas, including non-manufacturing, and facilitate Lean Kaizen, Value Stream Management, and Strategy Events.
• Use data analysis techniques to identify organizational trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and create dashboards and visual interactive reports using the Power platform.
• Demonstrate high-quality work in report writing and presentations, and exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, interacting effectively with people at all company levels.
• Build a continuous improvement culture, with a high focus on the shop floor, in co-operation with operators and management.
• Facilitate lean training classes. Coach employees on using Lean tools.
• Prepare and share regular reports.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Graduate of BS Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent, with a Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 5-8 years in similar positions in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple timelines, priorities, and responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in verbal and written Turkish and English.
• Knowledge of Lean principles, SHE, Kaizen philosophy, and experience with lean manufacturing methods. Six Sigma and SAP knowledge are a plus.
• No military obligation for male candidates. Driver’s License required, active driver.
