We are seeking for an experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Commissioning Engineer to join Prismecs. As an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Commissioning Engineer, handling the commissioning of BAS, SCADA, BMS, EPMS, and fire alarm control systems, ensuring accurate system integration, failover response, and alarm verification. Tasks include test plan creation, vendor coordination, and independent functional validation.

Location: This job is located on-site at a customer location.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commissioning scripts for: Building Automation System (BAS), SCADA and EPMS controls, Fire alarm and safety interlock systems.
• Validate system communication between mechanical, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Perform loop testing, I/O verification, and logic simulation..
• Test integration and interlocks with: Emergency power-off (EPO), Fire suppression system, HVAC shutdown controls.
• Review FAT/SAT documentation from vendors and provide input.
• Ensure data is properly uploaded and tracked in COMPASS and support punch list closure
• Enforce compliance with site safety systems and testing protocols.

Soft Skills 

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work under pressure across multiple system interfaces.
• Clear communicator with documentation discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commissioning of automation and control systems in mission-critical environments.
• Practical knowledge of: PLC, DCS, SCADA, BAS, and safety shutdown systems, I/O checkout, analog/digital signal validation, Valve positioners, sensors, transmitters and C&E matrix development, logic testing.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical interlocks and BMS/SCADA interfaces

• Preferred Certifications:

  
  
  • I&C Commissioning or ISA/IEC Compliant Control Systems Certification.
  • Fire Alarm and BAS System Integration Certification.
  • Safety System Validation (F&G, Emergency Shutdown Logic).
