QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree from relevant faculties
• 5+ years of experience in similiar position
• B Class Occupational Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Must have clear communication and writing skills in English
• Strong knowledge of Turkish Health & Safety law and additional regulations
• No travel restrictions
• B -Class driving license and driving experience
• Advanced skills in MS-Office tools
• No military obligation for male candidate
• Team worker and strong in interpersonal relationships
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Health and Safety Supervisor is responsible for promoting wellness and maintaining a safe work environment to ensure the health and safety of all UPS employees within the business unit.
He/She prosecutes in ensuring local regulatory and UPS policy compliance, execution of business unit strategies, tactics, and improvement initiatives to prevent injuries & auto crashes, and mitigate risk.
This position also follows up professional, regulatory, and community organizations to provide a safe work environment, and to strengthen UPS’s standing in the communities that are served.
In this position She/He needs to be a role model , to have time management , use outstanding communication skills and be willing to raise new leaders.
JOB DUTIES
Maintains Safety Culture in country wise.
Development and execution of the business unit-wide Health and Safety Action Plan to maintain a safe work environment.
Initiates safety recognition programs to foster a safe working environment and employee engagement.
Analyzes frequency, historical auto crash/ injury data, web-based safety to identify trends and most help needed areas.
Runs reports/queries to assess training needs and gaps.
Conducts safety training and certifications to ensure compliance and consistency.
Conducts on-area observations and trainings to mitigate risk.
Responds to Health and Safety Requests of District
Investigates concerns and advises safety committee members on appropriate course of action to ensure customer requests / concerns are resolved.
Maintains Regulatory Compliance
Reviews regulatory compliance information and training to ensure compliance with applicable international and local health & safety regulations and identify & correct gaps.
Conducts Auto Crash / Injury Investigations and Follow-up
Receives notification of injury or auto crash and works with center management team to discuss severity and the avoidability of the injury / accident.
Completes investigation packets to ensure contributing causes and prevention strategies are developed and executed.
