The Turkey and Southeast Europe Financial Controller for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is part of the EEMEA Commercial Operations located in Istanbul and will be working under hybrid model (both remote and office environment). At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Finance Department and report to the Turkey and Southeast Europe Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Compiles the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process.
- In close collaboration with commercial teams to be able to understand and challenge actual and budgeted P&L performance and margins.
- Tracks financial KPIs and regularly reports to the management team.
- Works with all business functions to analyze actual results versus expectations and builds accurate future expectations.
- Publishes internal monthly business performance reports and ensures timely reporting and detailed explanations to EEMEA finance team.
- Defines and implements standard work processes to gain efficient and accurate financial reporting.
- Performs financial analysis to identify variations and trends that indicate possible exposures.
- Supports business partners in achieving financial objectives for revenue, margin and operating income.
- Helps interface with auditors for internal and external audit requirements.
- Helps accounting team in specific financial closing tasks (fixed assets reconciliation, accruals, etc.).
- Works on miscellaneous financial projects and ad-hoc analysis as assigned.
- Updates or creates new work instructions/ procedures when needed.
- Assists in the continuous improvement, development, modification and implementation of financial systems as necessary.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Knowledge / Competencies and Behaviour
- Degree in Finance / Accounting /business administration or similar with min. 7 years of related experience required; financial audit experience is preferable.
- Accounting and financial analytical skills is required. USGAAP accounting knowledge is preferable.
- Experience in supporting and building relationships with commercial functions & experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Proficient user of MS Excel, and in working on business intelligence software, Oracle, OBI or an equivalent business intelligence reporting; knowledge in Oracle is a plus
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Turkish Language.
