Job Description
The Position
As a Specialist in finance the role will play a pivotal role in driving financial stability and growth. He/she will collaborate closely with various departments to provide insightful analysis and ensure accurate financial reporting. The contract for this role will be renewed on a yearly basis.
Responsibilities
Assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger
Contributing to month-end/quarter-end/year-end closing activities
Coordinating intercompany invoicing processes with related teams abroad to ensure timely and accurate transactions
Assisting in maintaining reconciliation for month-end closing activities.
Contributing to financial control and analysis activities to ensure accuracy and completeness
Supporting cash forecasting process to optimize cash flow management and liquidity
Supporting risk and control processes such as PULSE control, Archer, etc., by conducting initial analyses and providing recommendations
Contributing to the company with other financial analyses and ad-hoc projects as requested by the business.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to prepare required financial analysis and reports for special projects, providing valuable insights to support decision-making and project planning processes.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
A university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in similar roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial processes and controls
Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts
Proficiency with MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to analyze data and prepare reports
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong follow-up and timeliness to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
Knowledge of SAP systems or similar ERP software, with the ability to navigate and extract relevant financial information
Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is an asset, providing exposure to best practices in financial reporting and analysis
