Job Description Summary
This internship is intended for 4th year students or new graduates wishing to acquire knowledge in the field of commercial finance. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in an international environment and with various functions across the company. This internship reports to the Commercial Finance Manager of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Region Commercial Finance Manager in the EMEA region in managing Hydro opportunity portfolio
  • Review contracts to identify business and financial control risks
  • Participates in contract review and supports financial information preparation of deals for risk reviews and senior management approval
  • Evaluate client creditworthiness and financing structures
  • Manages letters of credit, foreign exchange exposure and other financial guarantees to be issued for contract with treasury
  • Support financial tools and databases management specific to commercial scope
  • Support closing with order booking follow- up and reporting
  • Support continuous improvement actions within and across regions

Required Qualifications:
  • Fresh graduates or minimum at 4th year of university students
  • Proven academic excellence throughout their educational career, showing evidence of being on-track for a degree in a quantitative discipline: STEM, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent backgrounds
  • Experienced user level MS Office, especially Excel skill
  • Proficient in oral and written English
  • Willing to work full-time during academic year or min. 3,5 business days in a week (around 20h/week)

Desired Qualifications:
  • Spanish,German or French is an adder
  • Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom. Extra initiatives/engagements in student organizations is a plus
  • Communicative & open- minded. Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Finance knowledge
  • Mindset to anticipate and resolve challenges
  • Previous experience in a shared service center, procurement or operations experience
  • Flexible approach with a strong team spirit
  • Professional style when dealing with business clients
  • Compliance & controllership mindset
  • Numerate with a good eye for detail
  • Familiarity in SAP based ERP systems is an adder
