The role

DP World in Europe are going through a major reorganisational change that will align our business to put the customer front and centre with everything we do. As part of this reorganisation we are looking for a CEO to head up our ports and terminals business in Türkiye.

This role will oversee and manage all of the operational and engineering activities, ensuring efficient operations, budgetary alignment and compliance with business objectives.

You will provide the strategic and operational leadership of Yarimca and Korfez ports making sure that operational excellence, safety and technical performance are maintained at the highest level.

You will navigate the volatile economic and geopolitical environments to make sure that the business maintains profitability and long term sustainability. The role carries P&L responsibility and requires a strategic leader capable of driving innovation and performance in a highly dynamic market.

Korfez is still being integrated into the Ports and Terminals business in Türkiye. You will help manage that process making sure that integration is smooth and the business unit can support the end to end solutions for trade.

You will support the growth plans of existing operations as well as supporting the plans for the various pillars to grow and expand service offerings. You will work with the freight forwarding and contract logistics pillars to make sure that customers experience the same seamless service and solutions for their supply chain needs.

So, who are we looking for?

Key skills and experience needed for this role are:

• Extensive leadership experience in port, terminal or logistics operations with a strong track record of managing diverse and complex projects.
• Strong track record in operational management, safety leadership and engineering oversight.
• A strong and deep financial acumen with demonstrable P&L management expertise.
• The ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and previous experience of developing long term sustainable high profile stakeholder relationships.
• Previous experience of managing uncertainty and ambiguity in an ever changing landscape.
• Experience of managing a culturally diverse and international leadership team across multiple sites.
• A diplomatic negotiator who is not afraid to make tough decisions but can provide sensible rationale behind those decisions.
