They are responsible for analyzing learning needs, designing, developing, and evaluating learning solutions across various platforms. With a focus on aligning content with organizational goals, they utilize their expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design to ensure the delivery of high-quality and impactful training materials.
key Responsibilities:
Apply adult learning instructional design principles to develop comprehensive learning solutions that address knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the target audience. Collaborate with Learning Professionals, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and project collaborators to conduct learning needs analysis and evaluate results. Formulate curricula that align with identified proficiencies and knowledge gaps, fostering desired behaviors among learners. Maintain learning catalogs by converting content into interactive, digital formats that reflect business changes and accommodate different learning preferences. Ensure the application of industry standards and best practices in instructional design to optimize learner engagement and reduce cognitive load. Conduct train-the-trainer sessions for Learning Professionals and provide mentorship to content creators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Participate in projects and initiatives, demonstrating a willingness to learn about the business and contribute to content design improvements aligned with organizational strategies. Utilize an eye for design or visual graphics to enhance the aesthetic appeal and engagement of learning materials.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Training and Development or Learning, demonstrating proficiency in instructional design principles and practices. Experience in instructional design or content development is preferred. Proficiency in communication, collaboration, and messaging platforms. Familiarity with word processing, presentation applications, and instructional design tools such as Articulate. This requires proficiency in using software tools commonly used in instructional design, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and specialized authoring tools like Articulate Storyline or Vyond. Ability to interpret storyboards and develop learning content accordingly. This involves translating conceptual learning designs and storyboards into engaging and effective learning materials, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and instructional strategies. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and frameworks. This encompasses knowledge of theories and models of adult learning, such as andragogy, experiential learning, and transformative learning, as well as an understanding of how these principles can be applied to the design and delivery of effective training programs for adult learners. Demonstrates receptiveness to feedback. This entails being open to receiving feedback from colleagues, supervisors, and stakeholders, and using it to improve work performance and enhance the quality of learning materials. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural, cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining professionalism and composure in all interactions. Capacity to contribute to multiple learning projects concurrently while prioritizing tasks effectively. Exceptional time management skills. This involves the ability to effectively plan and organize work activities, allocate time appropriately to various tasks and projects, and meet deadlines consistently. Flexibility to accommodate global schedules and work across multiple time zones. This entails being adaptable and responsive to the needs of a global organization, including the ability to work flexible hours and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders in different time zones. Proficiency in English; proficiency in other languages is an asset.
