The Position

As the Finance Manager (FM) for Roche Pharma in Tunisia, based in Tunis, you will be part of the Roche Pharma Tunisia & Libya Leadership Team and will report to the General Manager of Tunisia & Libya with a functional reporting line to the Finance Manager Africa. 


You will be jointly accountable for the affiliate transformation, fostering an environment that promotes trust, transparency, and a customer centricity that inspires and motivates teams to develop and adopt an agile way of working. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial results of the affiliate, procurement,  supply chain and facility services. Your financial responsibilities can be categorized as follows:


Insights: 


  • Proactively identify key challenges and opportunities, assessing their impact on the organization. 


  • Identify industry trends, potential business opportunities and risks; generating meaningful market insights.


  • Support employees to translate data into actionable insights, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the affiliate.


  • Stimulate an environment which encourages smart experimentation, rapid iterations and the ability to scale.


Long-term portfolio planning and resourcing strategy:


  • Drive a simple and fit-for-purpose business planning process that captures key strategic directions.


  • Formulate a local finance strategy balancing global/regional requirements with local imperatives.


  • Engage with business partners in crafting and executing value enhancing decisions through business performance (actuals vs. forecast).


  • Guide the business in meeting short to long-term goals by providing relevant financial and non-financial information.


Business partnership (including internal and external stakeholder management and business development):


  • In collaboration with business leaders, define the strategic direction of the organization.


  • Build a strong cross-border network beyond Pharma Finance to deliver better outcomes and overcome barriers.


  • Oversee the local finance & accounting function, ensuring adherence to Roche Group Accounting (FGA), local accounting standards, tax and customs.


  • Oversee the affiliate procurement process, with focus on value delivery for Roche, balancing costs, service quality, compliance and strategic partnerships.


  • Develop financial strategies that ensure compliance, and enable the delivery of more medicines to patients faster.

To be successful in this role, you will:


  • have a minimum 10 years of finance experience, with 5 years in leadership positions 


  • have a professional Accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACA, CIMA) or University Degree/MBA.


  • have a proven record of ensuring financial governance, and a strong network with the internal and external financial communities.
