Job Summary & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
4-5 years of experience working with Windows Server administration and VMware technologies. Proven experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Windows environments and virtualized systems. Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management. Experience in monitoring and performance tuning of Windows and VMware environments. Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtualized environments. Understanding of networking concepts related to virtualization.
Certification Required:
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or equivalent.
Job Description:
The Windows/VMware Specialist will be responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s Windows and VMware environments. This role involves system maintenance, optimization, and providing technical support to ensure maximum performance and reliability. The specialist will also assist in projects and contribute to continuous infrastructure improvements.
Detailed Responsibilities:
System Administration and Maintenance
Install, configure, and manage Windows servers and VMware infrastructure. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patch management and software updates. Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and redundancy. Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configurations.
Virtualization Management
Deploy and manage virtual machines, storage, and networks within the VMware environment. Optimize virtualization resources and ensure efficient usage of infrastructure. Conduct performance monitoring and fine-tuning of the virtualized environment. Implement and manage backup solutions for virtual servers.
Troubleshooting and Support
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Windows and VMware systems. Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams. Document issues, solutions, and system configurations for future reference. Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
Project Participation and Infrastructure Improvements
Participate in IT infrastructure projects, including system upgrades and migrations. Contribute to planning and implementing new technologies to improve performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT solutions aligned with business goals. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in virtualization and system administration.
Security and Compliance
Ensure systems are secure and compliant with organizational and industry standards. Implement and monitor security measures to protect against unauthorized access. Perform regular system audits and security checks.
