About the role This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and optimizing transport plans and strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and services. It involves liaising with clients, logistics partners, and internal teams to achieve seamless operational performance.
Office location: Second Industrial City, Jeddah - Jazan Highway
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage transport schedules, routes, and plans based on demand and constraints.
- Tracking shipments till delivery & POD is received.
- Optimize transport and logistics costs while maintaining service quality.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to coordinate transport activities.
- Monitor and analyze transportation metrics and performance indicators to identify areas of improvement.
- Use transport planning tools and software for route optimization and planning.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, laws, and safety standards.
- Prepare reports on transport activity, costs, and performance metrics.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, supply chain, and customer service teams to meet operational goals.
- Reporting of credit block inventory.
Qualifications and skills
- Preferably a recognised Diploma/bachelors degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Preferably a minimum of 3-4 years’ working experience in logistics / shipping / export function.
- Good to have experience in exports within GCC.
- Good command of English.
- Good working of MS Office application skills.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Possess strong planning and analytical skills and be able to take complex issues and break down actions for resolutions and working with tight deadlines.
- A solid communicator who can build strong relationships with stakeholders and is not afraid to challenge decisions when see better alternatives or potential pitfalls.
- Possess strong business acumen with deep operational insights as well as an open nature and collaborative mind-set that enable working cohesively with people from different functions and levels.
- A motivated and driven individual with the core competencies required to succeed in a demanding and challenging working environment.
- Good problem solving and decision-making ability to enhance workflow efficiencies and effectiveness.
