We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh should it be awarded to Bechtel. This posting serves as an expression of interest only.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
Specialization & Expertise
Provides knowledge and expertise in temporary works, including excavation, dewatering, falsework, formwork, support systems etc. Provides technical consultation support to projects.
Work Planning & Packaging
Reviews temporary works planning prepared by various contractors. Assesses interfaces between various contractors temporary works solutions and other stakeholders and coordinates with the Interface Manager. Material Management Reviews and monitors contractors temporary works materials, including quality, storage and quantity alignment to accepted schedules.
Safety / Quality Control
Monitors and enforces the implementation of zero accident philosophy and that requirements are implemented and adhered to by contractors, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely. Develops a 'permit to load/operate' approach to provide minimum requirements to contractors, and monitors the implementation of contractors accepted processes in the field.
Technical
Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities. Reviews contractors temporary works submissions. Carries our monitoring and inspections of contractor temporary works solutions in the field. Reviews and approves inspection test plans and method statements/risk assessments for temporary works.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Required bachelor's degree(or equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Previous experience in similar roles. Ability to work effectively under pressure with changing priorities and deadline. Experience of working within a multicultural, highly diverse team environment is essential. Previous experience of working in a live operational airport environment would be highly beneficial. Demonstrated ability to work with limited oversight and supervision.
