Job Purpose / Objective
Perform ultrasound procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention and produce high quality images on appropriate archival systems.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Perform ultrasound imaging and related procedures in all areas of ultrasound
Record patient images via appropriate archival media, transfer images as needed.
Participate in performance improvement activities in the department.
Maintain appropriate quality control records and participates in routine equipment testing and maintenance.
Review clinical information regarding patient along with images with the Radiologist.
Print images onto appropriate media.
Provide permanent data of procedures as required or requested.
Maintain departmental standards related to Quality Assurance controls.
Train new staff on the ultrasound system and department procedures.
Practice sterile techniques maintain aseptic conditions and use universal precautions at all times.
Perform first aid on patients until further assistance can be obtained to maintain patient's health.
Adhere to on-call, holiday, and weekend schedules as prepared by the manager.
Exercise strict patient confidentiality.
Ensure adherence to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, KSA and local requirements, and JCIA & CBAHI standards.
Provide patient and family education as per the needs.
Participate in routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed
Complete forms and maintains records, logs and reports of work performed.
Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities.
Education/ Professional Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology/ Ultrasonography
Experience
At least Two (2) years of experience in a Hospital Setup.
