Primary Role Focus Create technical documents, graphics, and video for internal and external distribution. This role reports to the Regional Design Engineer. Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Work with the Engineering group to create technical documents for internal and external distribution with moderate support and supervision
Create basic videos, presentations, and training documents for various departments
Create technical graphics for tool assembly, function, and operation
Support other Technical Writers as required to complete all product documents
Ensure compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety Program
Create training manual for business ERP processes
Create ‘How to Documentation’ for business ERP processes
Complete current quality documentation updates
Position Requirements Experience and Skills
1-4 years of experience in a similar role
Oil and Gas Industry experience an asset
Mechanical aptitude
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and multi-media software an asset
Education and Training
Degree or diploma (or related equivalent Technical Writing experience) in any of the following: Communications, Engineering, or Science
Physical and Safety Requirements
Extended periods of sitting at a desk and use of a computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse
Subject to post-incident and reasonable-cause drug & alcohol testing
