The Technical Supervisor oversees the technical operations (civil & Electromechanical) within his scope, ensuring the efficient functioning of systems and processes. This role involves managing technical staff, coordinating maintenance activities, and implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Monitor under construction buildings and report any comments and/or requirements that may affect the buildings operations and maintenance in the future. Have experience in projects transition from construction to operation, including operation startup, setting up all operation requirement such as manpower, tools, equipment’s, critical spare parts, etc. Mange client and stakeholders’ expectations and ensure contract service delivery. Perform work safely as per site procedures, industry best practice and in-line with company standards. Comply with PTW, method statements, step back process and using appropriate PPE and risk management. Manage and supervise technical staff and operations. Ensure the maintenance and repair of technical equipment and systems. Implement and monitor technical procedures and processes for efficiency.
Supervise technical staff and provide training as needed. Oversee the maintenance and repair of technical equipment. Coordinate with other departments to resolve technical issues. Develop and implement technical procedures and guidelines. Monitor and improve technical operations for efficiency and effectiveness. Oversight of site civil works, MEP systems including but not limited to HVAC, AHU’s, refrigeration pack units, pumps, water, LV, VSD, UPS systems. Energy Conservation measures (ECM’s), Energy Management, ROI cost calculations. Ensure the asset register is up-to-date, complete and that appropriate PPM’s are assigned. Manage contractors/vendors for day-to-day attendance and remedial works. Verify works are completed in the field before approving invoices and job completion on SAP. Communicate with procurement department for material and service requests related issues. Immediately escalate to your line manager any incident or system failures that may impact service. Investigation of issues to establish root cause to engineer out, reduce or eliminate risk of repeat failures. Seeking client approvals for planned service interruptions, major maintenance or remedial works. Support projects, review and provide input during design and prior to installation and during construction phase. Capable to monitor under construction project and issue reports for major issues that can impact project operation in the future. Support project transition smoothly from construction to operation including operation startup and creating PPM plans and all requirements related to manpower, tools, equipment’s, spare parts, etc. Managing time effectively for scheduled meetings and training. Submit weekly and monthly reports on time. Completing the I-Auditor inspections to meet the Client SOP’s. Working with quality department for Client KPI’s and NC’s response as per the schedules. Support a culture of continuous improvement, engagement with the team, embracing change. Completing QHSE online trainings, BIPS and ID’s on time. Maintain good housekeeping practices within your area. Highlight and follow up any issues found. Following up SOP’s and reviewing with quality department for any changes. Support a culture of continuous improvement, engagement with the team, embracing change and new ways of working. Challenging the status quo with zero compromise to safety.
Requirements and Skills:
Diploma or BSc in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering. 5+ year’s relevant experience in construction and maintenance. Specialist in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and or refrigeration systems operations and maintenance. LEED / ENERGY Management /ASHRAE knowledge and experience. Proven experience in a technical supervisory role. Strong knowledge of technical systems and maintenance procedures. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems efficiently. Driving license. Strong communications skills.
