Design mechanical and electrical
systems, including HVAC, fire alarm, fire fighting, plumbing, and electrical
systems for various facilities such as commercial, industrial, healthcare, and
residential projects.
Ensure the quality of work produced
meets high standards.
Delegate technical responsibilities
and monitor the progress of projects.
Manage technical processes and
engineering tasks to ensure project success, focusing on delivering technical
services that meet client requirements profitably and timely.
Supervise and coordinate the design
development, review activities, and progress of MEP services.
Ensure precision in design, value
engineering, and preparation of shop drawings.
Lead and work effectively within a
team, making decisions, evaluating priorities, respecting commitments, and
advocating for the company's interests.
Review design drawings and documents,
equipment specifications/data sheets, and material submittals before consultant
approval.
Supervise and prepare shop drawings,
meet schedule deadlines, and ensure all electrical work complies with
applicable codes and standards.
Prepare concept design drawings for
projects and customers before contract signing, as well as shop drawings for
contracted projects.
Prepare bill of quantities based on
approved shop drawings and provide them to the Operations, Cost Control, and
Procurement Divisions.
Ensure all systems are
well-coordinated on design drawings, signed by each trade designer and
coordinator before consultant submission, follow up on consultant approvals,
and deliver them to the Operations Division.
Supervise the design division’s
activities, monitor the technical performance and productivity of its members,
and ensure their regular attendance.
Prepare approval requests for project
systems, equipment, and materials, and obtain swift approvals from the
consultant or owner.
Coordinate with project managers in
preparing variation orders.
Conduct site inspections and analyze
project specifications and drawings.
Review construction documents for the
site, including BOQs of equipment, construction drawings, technical
specifications, and equipment documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
At least 15 years of relevant experience in the engineering sector.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems design, including HVAC, fire alarm, fire fighting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Proven experience in managing design and build projects across various facilities such as commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential projects.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in relevant design and engineering software.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Fluent in English (writing, reading, and conversation); proficiency in Arabic is an added advantage.
