Job Summary & Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IFS Applications Administration and disaster recovery (DR) implementation. Extensive knowledge and familiarity with IFS Functional Modules including Distribution, Manufacturing, Financial, Engineering PDM, Document Management, and MRO.
Job Description:
The Technical Admin Middleware/DR is responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing IFS Middleware and DR solutions. This role involves handling database administration, configuring IFS Replications, and providing support for data migration. The administrator will also develop high availability and disaster recovery strategies, manage infrastructure interconnection, and oversee installation and upgrades of systems.
Detailed Responsibilities:

Deploy and Configure IFS Middleware and DR: Responsible for deploying and configuring IFS Middleware and disaster recovery solutions. Develop and implement a high availability and disaster recovery strategy. Operate and maintain a recovery environment. -
Infrastructure Design and Configuration: Design the infrastructure required for system interconnection. Install and complete configurations for the interconnection systems. Resolve issues related to interconnection systems. -
System Installation and Upgrades: Handle installation and upgrade projects for SAP systems, including configuration post-installation. Upgrade systems and transfer systems after upgrading databases and operating systems. -
Database Administration and Replication: Manage database administration for IFS Applications. Configure and manage IFS Replications. -
Support and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft Windows Active Directory, including permissions, group policy implementations, login scripting, and general maintenance. Provide support to the functional team for data migration tasks. -
Project Participation: Actively participate in project activities, ensuring effective implementation and integration of solutions.
Skills & Expertise:
IFS Applications Administration: Proficiency in deploying, configuring, and managing IFS Middleware and DR solutions.
Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of servers, storage systems, Microsoft Active Directory, and Windows Server technologies including clustering, network load balancing, DHCP, DNS, and IIS.
Database Management: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and manage Windows Active Directory issues.
High Availability & DR Strategy: Experience in developing and managing high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
System Installation & Upgrades: Capability to manage installations, configurations, and upgrades for interconnection systems and SAP.
Support & Data Migration: Experience in providing support and assisting with data migration tasks.
