JOB SUMMARY:
The position of Supervisor, Aquatics Training is responsible for the overall safety and satisfaction of both Guest and Colleagues for the Aquarabia Water Theme Park inline with their specific role and responsibilities of the overall training of all Aquatic’s Colleagues and Management. The below highlights the key responsibilities and duties that lie with the Supervisor, Aquatics Training along with the experience and requirements to obtain the position. The position of Supervisor, Aquatics Training must also possess and demonstrate technical skills as well as soft skills and character traits that will allow them to be successful in the role and responsibilities herein listed below. Above all, the Supervisor, Aquatics Training is passionate about waterpark operations, training and the prevention of loss of life due to drowning.
JOB DUTIES:
COLLECTIVE
JOB-SPECIFIC
Responsible for the overall safety of all Guest and Colleagues within and while visiting Aquarabia WTP, with a commitment to Zero Drownings and the Loss of Life Due to Drowning
Pre-Opening and Operational
Operational review of all attraction Operational & Maintenance Manuals
On-site involvement as it relates to the training aspects of attractions in collaboration with the Aquatics Operational Team
Delivery and implementation of all Operational and Attraction specific documents and workflows, as they relate to the day-to-day operation of the park.
Training standards and requirements – Reflective of Pre-Opening initial Training of all Lifeguards & Junior Management Team
On-going training standards and requirements – Reflective of all Operational Training inline with Renewal Courses, New Hire Courses, Up-Grade Courses, Attraction Dispatch Courses
Audit and accountability methods – This includes the daily audits to be conducted during operational hours reflective of the below audit types:
Visual / V.A.T / Individual Skills (CPR / AR / FBAO) / Team Skills / Team Scenarios / Attraction Dispatch
Recognition and reward programs reflective of training programs, professional growth and development success within the Aquatics Department
Areas in which initial training, ongoing training, auditing, accountability, growth, development, recognition and performance management will be utilized include but are not limited to the following:
Attraction Attendants
ILTP Lifeguarding (Shallow Water & Special Facilities)
Specialized Attraction Operations (Whitewater Rafting, Canyoneering, Kayaking, Rock Climbing, Surfing and Aquaticar)
Guest Service and Guest Engagement
Leadership
First Aid / Basic Life Support
Park Operations and Attraction Operations
On and Off the Job Development (Internal Courses related and not related to the Job Role)
Delivery and implementation of all Standard Operating Procedures, Polices & Procedures, Risk Assessments, Handbooks and related documents inline with the training aspect of the Aquatics department.
Working alongside the Senior Management Team of Aquatics towards key milestones and KPIs in line with the successful opening and ongoing operation of Aquarabia Water Theme Park.
