Key Accountabilities:
1 - Mine Geology Leadership: Direct mine geology systems for accurate outputs, facilitating effective mine planning and extraction.
2 - Technical Guidance: Provide technical oversight to optimize resource utilization
3 - Grade Control Modelling: Manage the process to ensure accurate models and ore plans for scheduling and delivery.
4 - QAQC Coordination: Oversee QAQC processes for assay analysis, drilling, sampling, and mapping, including tracking and reporting
5 - Data Analysis: Compile EOM ore reconciliation, drilling metrics, and provide variance analysis
6 - Dilution Management: Monitor and minimize dilution impacts, ensuring correct ore delivery
7 - Stockpile and Mill Feed Management: Control ROM stockpile, maintain blend plan compliance, and report deviations.
8 - Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with technical services and metallurgical teams to optimize ore treatment.
9 - Geological Databases Management: Maintain accurate reporting of geological data.
10 - Budget Control: Assist in operating and capital budget development and control for geological activities
11 - System Utilization: Establish control over geological parameters with advanced systems
12 - Exploration and Development: Lead projects to enhance mineral reserves.
13 - Continuous Improvement: Challenge norms to improve resource utilization.
14 - Geological Analysis: Analyze data, recommend improvements, and support change initiatives.
15 - Project Management: Oversee geological projects with effective management methods Stay.
16 - Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and health policies.
17 - Team Development: Develop team capabilities and maintain procedural documentation
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
Minimum Qualifications:
• BSc, Geology or Earth Sciences Major.
• Advanced degree in related discipline will be an advantage.
• Previous experience in similar role
• At least ten (10) years relevant work experience in an Open Pit Geology role
• Professional membership
• Competency in grade control modelling and reconciliation
• Extensive experience complex sulphide mineralisation systems
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience: 10-12 years mining industry experience,
Software: 3D geological software including Leapfrog and Surpac, Acquire Database, MS office including access and Blast monitoring technology.
