STRUCTURAL DESIGNER (OFFSHORE)

We are seeking a Structural Designer with experience in Jackets and Offshore Structures to join our engineering team for offshore oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering designs, drawings, and 3D models for offshore jackets, topsides, decks, and subsea structures. Tekla experience is a must, along with expertise in engineering software and a strong understanding of offshore structural design standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop 2D and 3D structural drawings for offshore jackets, topsides, decks, and other offshore structures.
• Prepare fabrication drawings, structural GA (General Arrangement) drawings, and weight control reports.
• Generate detailed shop drawings, material take-offs (MTOs), and assembly drawings for construction.
• Tekla experience is a must for modeling offshore jackets and steel structures.
• Create and modify 3D models using Tekla, Aveva E3D, PDMS, AutoCAD, or SACS.
• Ensure clash-free designs by coordinating with piping, mechanical, and electrical teams.
• Implement modifications, revisions, and as-built updates in the design models.
• Follow API RP 2A, AISC, DNV, ABS, ISO, and Aramco offshore design standards.
• Ensure structural drawings and models comply with project specifications and safety regulations.
• Work closely with structural engineers to optimize load-bearing capacity, fatigue life, and installation feasibility.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams (piping, mechanical, electrical, and marine).
• Assist in material selection for offshore environments, ensuring corrosion resistance and durability.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and revision logs.
• Provide engineering support during fabrication, installation, and offshore commissioning.
• Assist in lifting, loadout, and transportation analysis for offshore jackets.
• Resolve design and drawing-related issues raised during the construction phase.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Drafting Technology.
• 5-10 years in offshore structural design, with a strong focus on jackets and topsides.
• Tekla (Mandatory), Aveva E3D, PDMS, AutoCAD, SACS, STAAD.Pro, Navisworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for documentation.
• Experience with offshore structural design standards (API RP 2A, AISC, DNV, ABS, Aramco Standards).
• Knowledge of offshore construction, fabrication, and installation methods.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills.
