Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and organized Store Keeper to manage and oversee the storage, inventory, and distribution of goods in our facility. The Store Keeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring materials and supplies are readily available, and keeping the storage area clean and well-organized. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the business by ensuring timely and efficient handling of stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring they meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Record all stock movements (receipts, transfers, and issues) accurately in the inventory management system.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records and stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies or shortages to management.
  • Storage and Organization:
  • Properly store goods in designated areas to maintain easy access and ensure safety.
  • Organize and label items clearly to facilitate easy identification and retrieval.
  • Ensure the storage area is clean, tidy, and adheres to health and safety regulations.
  • Distribution and Issue of Goods:
  • Process requisitions for materials, supplies, or products as per department needs.
  • Issue goods to internal departments, ensuring proper documentation is completed (e.g., delivery notes, requisition forms).
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure timely distribution and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, orders, and deliveries.
  • Prepare regular reports on stock levels, movement trends, and potential stock issues.
  • Monitor stock expiration dates (if applicable) and handle items accordingly to ensure proper use or disposal.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations regarding safety, health, and the handling of materials.
  • Operate store equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and in accordance with safety standards.
  • Report any hazards or safety issues immediately to supervisors.
  • Team Support and Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, suppliers, and management regarding inventory needs, delivery schedules, or stock issues.
  • Assist with training new staff on store procedures, inventory control, and safety protocols.
  • Capable of operating heavy-duty machinery and equipment safely.
