Job Summary:
The Chief Steward oversees the overall stewarding operations in a hospitality setting to ensure cleanliness, compliance with health and safety regulations, and efficient kitchen operations.
Job Responsibility:
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules to maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
- Train and supervise stewarding staff on proper cleaning procedures and protocols
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of operations and cleanliness of equipment
- Handle any escalated issues or complaints related to stewarding operations
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in a stewarding or kitchen supervisory role
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
