Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tender Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the tendering process for engineering projects, focusing on the electrical aspect. This position requires a deep understanding of both technical and commercial aspects of project requirements, particularly within the Saudi market.
Key Accountability Areas
- Analyze Project Requirements: Thoroughly analyze project specifications to identify key technical and commercial factors, ensuring accurate and comprehensive tender submissions.
- Cost Estimation and Timeline Preparation: Develop precise cost estimates, project timelines, and tender documents that align with project requirements and client expectations.
- Technical Proposal Development: Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand client needs and translate them into compelling technical proposals that showcase our capabilities.
- Contract Review and Recommendations: Review contract terms and conditions meticulously, providing insightful recommendations to ensure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
- Tender Evaluation and Negotiation: Participate actively in tender evaluation meetings, presenting proposals and negotiating with clients to secure contracts.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all tenders comply with client specifications, industry standards, and legal requirements, maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
- Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments, particularly within the Saudi market, to enhance the competitiveness of our tenders.
- Project Handover Support: Work closely with the project management team to facilitate the smooth handover of successful tenders, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements.
Role Accountability
- Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in tendering or project management within the engineering or construction industry, with a strong focus on electrical engineering.
- Technical and Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in both technical and commercial aspects of project requirements, particularly in the context of large-scale engineering projects.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to negotiate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex project requirements and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of tender preparation and submission.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in the use of tendering software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Market Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Saudi market, including key players, regulations, and industry trends.
