Job Purpose

Specialist jobs is characterized by his ability to provide high levels of troubleshooting and complex problem solving skills to support mechanical maintenance team. Highly skilled in preparing technical reports and well aware of PM/CM strategies and plans.

Role responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to the field supervisors, contractor’s supervisors and technicians in their respective areas for cost effectively to the specified quality standards.
• Support mechanical maintenance team in planning/execution of preventive/corrective maintenance, routine maintenance and field testing.
• Visit the work sites, investigate and analyse complex technical issues to resolve maintenance problems.
• Sound knowledge of rotating equipment such as (compressor, pump, blower, fan, steam turbine)
• Sound knowledge of static equipment such as (heat exchanger, column and vessel, boilers, furnaces)  
• Experience in major overhauling of steam turbines, compressors, blowers, etc.
• Experience in Shutdown and Turnaround Maintenance (TAM) planning and execution.
• Support in Preventive maintenance of Mechanical equipment
• Support in routine maintenance of Mechanical equipment
• Field Testing
• Technical support for complex mechanical issues
• Maintenance system review
• Participate in turnaround planning
• Troubleshooting with mechanical equipment
• Maintenance Documentation
• Participate in maintenance planning
• Co-ordination with operations, reliability and engineering
• Health, Safety and Environment
• Responsible care and IMRS
• Able to deliver training for mechanical technicians

Qualification and Requirements:

• Diploma In Mechanical Engineering Or Equivalent
• 3 years’ experience with Degree or 8 years’ experience with Diploma
