The Spa Manager at Life in Balance Spa, Miraval The Red Sea, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional, mindful wellness experiences for all guests. This role integrates spa therapies, bodywork, beauty and salon services, and holistic practices for a seamless guest experience. The Spa Manager will lead a team of professionals, uphold high service standards, and ensure operational excellence. Key responsibilities include continuous improvement of spa and beauty offerings, optimizing retail operations, and driving upselling strategies to increase revenue. The Spa Manager will ensure seamless spa operations, managing guest bookings, treatments, and staff coordination. Reporting to the Director of Wellness, the Spa Manager will collaborate to enhance offerings, implement new wellness programs, and foster a nurturing environment for both guests and staff, aligning with Miraval’s standards of mindful luxury.
Spa Operations & Guest Experience:
- Oversee the daily operations of the spa, ensuring that all services are delivered with the highest quality and consistency.
- Ensure that the spa environment is relaxing, clean, and welcoming, fostering a sense of well-being for every guest.
- Provide leadership to the spa team, ensuring all staff uphold Miraval’s commitment to mindfulness, professionalism, and emotional balance.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and regularly gather feedback to refine services and ensure each guest enjoys a fulfilling spa experience.
- Cultivate strong relationships with guests, offering personalized wellness recommendations and ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Ensure all treatments, services, and guest interactions reflect Miraval’s philosophy of personal transformation and well-being.
Team Leadership & Staff Development:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the spa team, ensuring all spa professionals provide exceptional service and embody the core values of Miraval.
- Manage staff schedules, performance reviews, and training programs, creating an environment that encourages professional growth and high levels of engagement.
- Conduct regular training sessions on treatment techniques, guest relations, and wellness-based practices to ensure the team is always prepared to meet guest expectations.
- Foster a culture of empathy, support, and excellence, ensuring a cohesive team dynamic that translates to exceptional guest service.
Spa Program Development & Integration:
- Collaborate with the Director of Wellness/Associate Director of Wellness to design and implement new spa programs that reflect mindful wellness and support personal growth.
- Stay updated on the latest wellness trends and incorporate new spa treatments, techniques, and experiences to keep the offerings fresh and engaging.
- Develop specialized wellness retreats, well-being treatments, and seasonal spa experiences that align with guest needs and resort offerings.
- Integrate spa programs with other fitness and wellness activities, ensuring a holistic and unified experience for guests.
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
- Manage spa budgeting, inventory, and supply ordering to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
- Ensure that all spa equipment and facilities are properly maintained and compliant with safety standards.
- Monitor spa revenue, tracking performance metrics, setting goals, and driving performance improvements to achieve business targets.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations and wellness standards, ensuring safety, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity in all spa services.
- Maintain guest records and ensure privacy protocols are followed at all times.
- Ensure Guest satisfaction surveys are exceeding targets and KPIs achievements.
Collaboration & Strategic Vision:
- Collaborate with the Programs and Activities team and other resort departments to create a seamless experience for guests that integrates spa treatments with fitness, yoga, and wellness programming.
- Work with the marketing team to promote the spa, increase guest engagement, and develop content for promotional materials.
- Report to the Director of Wellness/Associate Director of Wellness, providing insights into spa operations, guest feedback, and new initiatives to enhance the guest experience.
Guest Engagement & Emotional Support:
- Build strong, personal relationships with guests, offering personalized consultations and ensuring their well-being goals are met.
- Provide ongoing guidance and emotional support for guests throughout their spa journey, ensuring they feel empowered and rejuvenated.
- Guide guests through their spa and wellness journey, ensuring they leave feeling balanced, relaxed, and emotionally refreshed.
- Bachelor’s degree in spa management, wellness management, health and wellness, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in spa management or a leadership role within a luxury wellness resort or destination spa.
- Extensive experience in large spa operations, guest relations, and developing wellness programs in a high-end setting.
- Advanced certifications in spa therapies or mindfulness-based wellness practices.
- Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus).
- Passion for wellness
