Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Tester to join our banking software team, focusing on the T24 banking system. In this role, you will be responsible for testing the functionalities of the T24 system to ensure that all modules and features perform according to the requirements and industry standards.This is an on-site, contracted position that requires strong testing skills, knowledge of banking operations, and experience with the T24 system. As a part of the software testing team, you will ensure high-quality and efficient software delivery for critical banking solutions. Key Responsibilities: Test Planning & Design: Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for the T24 system, including functional, regression, and integration testing. Functional Testing: Perform manual and automated testing to validate core banking functions, including accounts, payments, loans, trade finance, etc., within the T24 system. Bug Reporting & Documentation: Document and report bugs, issues, and defects clearly and accurately, ensuring that defects are resolved and retested. Regression Testing: Conduct regression tests to ensure that newly developed features and updates do not negatively impact existing functionality. Integration Testing: Test the integration points of T24 with third-party applications, such as payment gateways, ATMs, or online banking systems. Test Execution: Execute end-to-end testing cycles based on business requirements, ensuring all banking operations within the T24 system function as expected. Collaboration with Development Team: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure the test environment mirrors production and that test cases cover all relevant scenarios. Support & Troubleshooting: Provide support in troubleshooting issues related to T24 system functionalities and escalate issues when necessary. Automation Testing: If applicable, create and maintain automated test scripts using relevant tools and frameworks. Compliance & Security: Ensure the banking software meets compliance and security requirements, particularly those specific to financial institutions and banking operations. Key Skills & Qualifications: Experience with T24: Proven experience working with the T24 banking system, including knowledge of its core modules (e.g., Core Banking, Payments, Lending, Trade Finance). Software Testing Expertise: Strong background in manual and automated testing, with experience in test design, execution, and defect tracking. Knowledge of Banking Processes: Understanding of banking products, services, and operations, including financial regulations and standards. Test Tools: Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, ALM, or other test management software. Technical Skills: Experience with SQL, database testing, and understanding of financial systems. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when performing testing activities. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document defects and report testing results to various stakeholders. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, especially in the context of banking applications. Certifications: ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification or similar testing credentials is a plus. Preferred Experience: Experience in Agile or Scrum environments, as the testing process may follow iterative cycles. Familiarity with banking regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III, PSD2, GDPR). Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies, including test automation and continuous integration processes. Additional Information: This position is based on-site, requiring presence at the client's office or bank branch. You will work within a team of developers, business analysts, and other testers to deliver high-quality software. The contract is initially for [2 months] with the possibility of extension based on project needs.
