The Purpose of the Role
Join a team of development program professionals to support dev programs within one of Honeywell's businesses. You will help implement program plans, budgets, schedules and execute a programatic MOS, support forecasting & capacity analysis related to delivery requirements. You will play an important role in the IPDS process and strategies to achieve committed business performance. You will support business leaders and present programmatic details, requirements, actions, and status as assigned. You will also be working under moderate supervision of the program manager to execute on scope, schedule, cost, delivery, earned value & quality while demonstrating PM skills including risk management
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the design, execution and deployment of smart cities projects
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies like IoT sensors, data platforms, AI algorithms, and cloud services based on project requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, developers, and consultants to execute smart city projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Oversee the integration of different smart city systems, including traffic management, energy grids, public lighting, and environmental monitoring.
- Develop data analytics strategies to extract valuable insights from smart city data to inform decision-making and optimize operations.
- Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are implemented to protect sensitive data within the smart city infrastructure.
- Communicate technical concepts to stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and potential users, to gain buy-in and support.
Job requirements:
- Deep understanding of IoT technologies, data analytics, network infrastructure, and software development principles with hands-on experience of 10+ years.
- Familiarity with various smart city applications like intelligent transportation systems, smart grids, public safety systems, and citizen engagement platforms.
- Proven experience in executing complex technical projects from design to implementation.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and make informed technical decisions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
