Main Tasks and Key Responsibilities-
Daily
Operational
- Pro-active planning, dispatching and managing of the domestic shipments with assigned 3rd Party Transport Companies for the execution of Export, Transit, Import or Domestic shipments.
- Source with internal & external customer for relevant shipments to maximize the number of executed shipments.
- Receive and accept transport orders from customers.
- Book shipment with transporter on time
- Register shipment on internal system on time.
- Schedule & Coordinate Loading & Offloading with customer and driver/ transporter
- Arrange customs clearance based on customer documentation.
- Supply carrier with transport order/ instructions.
- Send Pre-alerts to customer / destination offices.
- Follow up PODs (proof of delivery) with transporters.
- Invoice shipment based on estimate or rate agreements.
- Supply estimates on customer / sales request.
Customer
- To arrange bookings based on customer requirements with various nominated third parties to ensure customer needs are met.
- To process customer and customs documentation within a required timeframe in accordance with third party and local requirements i.e. customs, trade law, carriers
- To co-ordinate movement of cargo within required/stipulated time frames in order to meet customer needs
- To manage and monitor all parties within the supply chain.
- To develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
- To prepare specific customer reports whenever required
- Timely & amicable settlement of customer issues
- Support the Head of Road Freight with negotiation & maintenance of supplier rates and contracts, new/change of systems, directives.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal & external Customer, Customs and transporters.
Job Requirements –
- Knowledge of road transport Market and Trends
- Knowledge in Saudi Road Transport Supplier market
- Knowledge of Saudi Regulations towards social and safety regulations for Road Transport
- Experience in Cost and Time Management of Truck’s and driver.
- Customer focused.
- Microsoft Office applications
- Good English communication skills – written and spoken, Arabic preferable.

Expected years of experience -
Minimum 5 years working experience in road freight industry, specialized in
Fleet & Driver Management within Saudi Arabia and GCC traffic.
