Overview of the role:

The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for developing and managing the ELV Contract Baseline Program using Primavera. Key duties include obtaining approvals, maintaining and updating the schedule, and creating recovery and mitigation plans. The role involves preparing Engineering and Procurement Registers, monitoring progress, and providing look-ahead reports to the project and engineering teams.

The engineer will ensure vendor compliance, liaise with subcontractors, and highlight any variances in work and procurement. Regular updates to the Baseline Schedule, progress reporting, and organizing meetings with project stakeholders are essential components of the role. Analytical skills are crucial for calculating schedule and cost variances and identifying manpower needs.

Overall, this position requires strong project management skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with contractual obligations.

What you will do:

• Developing and maintaining the program and recovery plans.
• Preparing Engineering and Procurement Registers aligned with the Baseline Program.
• Monitoring and reporting on progress, variances, and procurement compliance.
• Liaising with vendors and specialist subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
• Organizing weekly meetings and attending client progress meetings.
• Calculating schedule and cost variances, monitoring labor productivity, and identifying manpower needs.
• Developing commissioning schedules and managing delay analyses, including preparing Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.

Required Skills to be successful:

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Planning of MEP Projects.

What equips you for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in Primavera (P6).
• Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
