The organization is a flagship gigaproject under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, aiming to create a world-class entertainment, cultural and lifestyle destination. As a multibillion-dollar project, it will encompass vast infrastructure development, hospitality, retail and service sectors, which requires effective and large scale management of supplier relationships and supply chain risks.
The Senior Manager – SRM & SCR is responsible for supporting the Director in implementing the org’s SRM & SCR agenda, which includes managing the org’s supplier relationships and supply chain risks. This comprises onboarding suppliers, ensuring complete and up-to-date documentation, acting as the org’s point-of-contact to the suppliers, providing internal stakeholders with intelligence available on registered suppliers, and tracking supplier performance metrics across all projects within the org. The role also includes managing supply chain risks, which comprises identifying key risks across the supply chain for all procurement categories within the org, and driving initiatives to mitigate the risks.
1. Supplier Relationship Management:
- Oversee the onboarding process of suppliers onto the organization's SRM platform, ensuring the collection of required documents and facilitating supplier support.
- Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and the organization, sharing relevant resources, providing guidance on using the SRM platform, and ensuring suppliers update their documents and contact information regularly.
- Lead data analyses to recommend suitable interaction models for each supplier, according to the size and nature of their partnership with the org.
- Steward supplier information for the org and support business teams with supplier information as required.
2. Supplier Performance Metrics Oversight:
- Track supplier performance against predefined key performance indicators (KPIs), such as quality, timelines, and cost efficiency.
- Generate performance reports using supplier data to assess trends and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contracts and agreed standards.
3. Supply Chain Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain, and assess the likelihood and impact of the risks using risk assessment frameworks.
- Manage the identified risks by implementing mitigation strategies and maintaining contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
- Monitor external factors, such as regulatory changes, natural disasters, or market trends, that could disrupt the supply chain.
4. Team Management, Learning & Development
- Conduct awareness sessions for the org’s staff to learn how to report appropriate information to support the org’s SRM/SCR agenda.
- Oversee and support junior team members, ensuring professional growth through mentorship and annual performance appraisals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the SRM & SCR Team.
