Role Purpose
The Senior Manager of Fire Safety is responsible for the strategic leadership, management, and operational oversight of Fire Safety within NEOM. This role ensures the development and implementation of advanced strategies for fire safety leveraging technology and innovation to meet regional requirements. The Sr. Manager supervises and coordinates all fire safety activities, ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and effective management of NEOM employees and contractors. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance public safety and emergency response capabilities across NEOM.
KEY ACCONTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning
- Develop and implement strategies and objectives for Fire Safety that align with NEOM’s vision and regional requirements.
- Formulate and enforce policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure high-quality fire safety delivery.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee the deployment and operation of fire safety across NEOM.
- Leverage technological advancements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of fire safety.
Supervision and Management
- Supervise and manage NEOM employees and contractors involved in fire safety operations.
- Provide leadership, training, and professional development for fire safety staff.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure all fire safety operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and NEOM policies.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of service.
Emergency Response Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for all fire related incidents and activities.
- Coordinate emergency response efforts and ensure effective management of emergencies.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve fire safety.
- Foster partnerships with local, regional, and international fire safety organizations.
Budget and Resource Management
- Develop and manage the budget for fire safety ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities to support fire safety initiatives.
Performance Monitoring and Improvement
- Monitor and report on the progress of fire safety initiatives and objectives.
- Use data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Community Engagement
- Promote community awareness and education on fire safety.
- Engage with community leaders and organizations to address fire safety needs and concerns.
Innovation and Best Practices
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the fire safety teams.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to drive advancements in fire safety delivery.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international fire safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain compliance.
Resource Optimization
- Optimize the allocation of fire and ambulatory resources to meet the needs of NEOM communities and properties.
- Ensure the availability and readiness of fire safety and ambulatory services at all times.
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
In-depth Knowledge and Understanding
- In-depth understanding of both Fire Services systems, operations, and protocols.
- Knowledge of advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) practices.
