Overview We are seeking a Senior Investment Specialist to join our Aramco Ventures organization.
Aramco Ventures (AV) is the venture capital arm of Aramco, with three programs managing five funds totaling approximately $7 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM).
Your primary role is to identify, evaluate, and manage late-stage investment opportunities within the firm’s portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks, develop financial models, and lead negotiations.
Key Responsibilities As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the following:
- Leading various aspects of our investment activities, including strategy development, sourcing new opportunities, conducting thorough evaluations, managing our portfolio, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to industry knowledge sharing.
- Developing and executing comprehensive investment strategies for late-stage investments, identifying and sourcing high-potential investment opportunities, building and maintaining an extensive network of industry contacts, entrepreneurs, and other venture capital firms.
- Leading due diligence efforts encompassing financial analysis, market research, and competitive analysis, evaluating business models, growth potential, and risk factors of prospective investments, presenting findings to the Investment Committee.
- Providing strategic guidance and operational support to portfolio companies, monitoring their performance, assisting in developing and implementing growth strategies, representing the firm on the boards of these companies when necessary, staying up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Serving as a trusted advisor to portfolio company executives and boards, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders such as investors, partners, and industry experts, exploring joint ventures or acquisitions of existing strategic Aramco Ventures portfolio companies with relevant Aramco entities.
- Contributing to industry knowledge by participating in industry events, conferences, networking functions, and representing Aramco Venture in portfolio companies' board meetings, publishing articles, attending panels, and engaging in other public forums.
Minimum Requirements
- As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
- You will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in operational leadership roles, preferably within venture capital, private equity, or high-growth technology companies.
- You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of driving operational improvements and value creation.
- You should have experience in executive-level advisory roles and board governance.
- You must be a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge and a proven track record in venture capital or private equity.
- You should also have a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
