Job Purpose



The role’s primary responsibility will be to develop and monitor performance metrics for all Funds managed under the Special & Trust Funds Department. The Senior Specialist will, in collaboration with Fund Heads, developing performance measurement frameworks – KPIs, goals, which serve as a yardstick for analysing the performance of the Fund, and will work closely with Fund Heads to optimize performance based on analysis and evaluation. It also involves comparing intended outcomes with actual outcomes and adapting approach and framework appropriately and in line with any changes. In addition, the role will work closely with the Associate Manager in the development, enhancement and approvals of relevant Policies and Procedures for Fund Management. And it will assist in the establishment and approval of new funds in line with the Fund Management Framework and guidelines.

General Responsibilities:



Development of performance metrics to improve business operational efficiency.
Assist in the development of Operational KPIs program in close coordination with Unit/Fund Heads ensuring alignment with Bank and Funds Strategies.
Develop and maintain a repository of all performance indicators/metrics relevant to each Unit/Fund.
Collect and consolidate all indicators through coordination with OTLs.
Assist in the development of a KPI management Platform and dashboard in coordination with senior management.
Collect information on industry trends and analysis.
Keep track on KPIs in a timely and consistent manner (Monthly, Quarterly) and as needed.
Interpret data and analyze results in order to provide key business information and recommendations for improvement.
Assist in the development of a Monitoring and Evaluation Plan and monitoring tools.
Monitor and measure the ongoing results against objectives.
Coordinate with all relevant departments to obtain necessary information on portfolio performance and construct required reports.
Evaluate portfolio performance and develop flagging system to keep management informed.
Compile and publish quantitative and qualitative monitoring results in visually attractive Reports for internal stakeholders.
Identify areas of improvements and concerns in operational areas and provide appropriate strategies to resolve them.
Provide documentation for identified problem, definition, and procedures for solving them.
Provide optimal business solutions to achieve operational and financial goals.
Propose new techniques and technologies to actualize business goals.
Undertake research and collect data to better analyze outcomes.
Regularly monitor overall performance and generate performance reports to management.
Ensuring the Trust Fund Establishment Team are in line with the Fund Management Framework.
Assist the initiative Team on the development of New Fund Concept Note and provide guidance and advice.
Coordinates the submission of all Concept Notes and proposals to establish new Trust Funds.
Assist in the preparation of Fund Charters in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
In close coordination with Legal Department finalize all Legal Agreements for the Establishment of the Trust Fund.
Coordination with Finance to establish all necessary financial arrangement (Bank Accounts, Accounting, etc.).

Policies, Processes & Procedures:



Maintain a repository of all IsDB’s polices and procedures relevant to Fund Management and operations.
Lead the development/review of the Funds Management Framework and recommend enhancements.
Analyze and assess current operations and assist in the formulation/enhancement to polices, procedures and frameworks.
Assess effectiveness of current policies and procedures.
Interface with management and employees to determine appropriate policy, procedure, and work instruction requirements.
Advice management on enhancement recommendations.
Ensure compliance of Funds to current policies and procedures.

Reporting Responsibilities:



Oversee data collection, collation, storage, analysis, and reporting, ensuring that data is of high quality.
Support development and management of systems to aggregate and visualize data, including dashboards.
Monitor activities of the Funds and develop a process to report progress made toward delivering expected outcomes.
Quarterly develop reports on the performance of Funds including operational and financial performance.

Academic and professional qualifications



Bachelor’s degree in Economics / Business Administration / International Development Management, Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Proven knowledge in Results Based Management.
