The Senior Epidemiologist is responsible for analyzing data to identify patterns, causes, and effects of health-related events and conditions within populations. This critical role supports public health initiatives and contributes to the development of effective strategies to prevent and control the spread of diseases.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Design and implement comprehensive surveillance systems to monitor disease trends, identify outbreaks, and evaluate the effectiveness of public health interventions.
Identify the Surveillance needed to implement the administration policy.
Assuring proper collection of data needed for adopted surveillance.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings and recommendations.
Mentor and supervise epidemiologist staff, providing guidance and support in conducting epidemiological studies and data analysis.
Create reports about the potential spread of certain diseases.
Designs, conducts and reports on the epidemiological study of diseases, collects and analyzes data and develops health education materials.
Provide expert guidance on epidemiological methods and best practices within the organization.
Analyze complex datasets using advanced statistical methods to identify trends and correlations.
Stay updated with the latest research, methodologies, and advancements in the field of epidemiology to ensure best practices are implemented.
Monitor emerging public health threats and contribute to outbreak investigations as needed.
Design and implement epidemiological studies to investigate public health issues.
Organizing all collected data and continuously updating the Chairperson of Hospital Epidemiology.
Knowledgeable in International Standards of medical care, KAAUH policies and procedures, Standards of medical ethics and professionals, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Epidemiology, Nursing, Education, Quality Management.
Respects patients and their families to promote for a Patient-Centered Care culture.
Participates in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Qualifications and Experience
Minimum or Required: Bachelor in Epidemiology or Equivalent SCHS Registration/License
