Title:
Role Purpose:
The Senior Construction Manager – Bulk Excavation (BEX) will lead and oversee the bulk excavation works for the DGII program. The role is critical in guaranteeing uninterrupted works progression, optimizing productivity, and providing constant support and proactive interface with the Client Site Coordination (CSC) team and contractors. The role requires robust leadership, detailed planning and coordination capabilities, and a deep understanding of excavation, soil retention, dewatering, and interface management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Guarantee Continuation of Works:
• Lead all site-based construction activities related to bulk excavation, including deep digs, material handling, and disposal.
• Ensure uninterrupted progress of excavation works by resolving blockers and implementing mitigation plans.
• Monitor progress and adjust execution strategies to ensure compliance with schedule, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Optimize Productivity:
• Continuously evaluate construction methods and resource utilization to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with planners and engineers to optimize sequencing, logistics, and material movement.
• Lead daily/weekly progress meetings with contractors to drive productivity and alignment.
• Support to CSC & Contractor:
• Act as the primary interface between KBR Construction Management, the CSC team, and the contractor for all bulk excavation-related scopes.
• Provide ongoing technical support, design clarification, and field guidance to ensure adherence to design and specifications.
• Ensure that contractors are supported in accessing approvals, clearances, and interfaces with other work zones.
• Compliance & Governance:
• Enforce compliance with KBR’s HSE standards, project controls, and quality assurance procedures.
• Coordinate inspection and test activities with QA/QC teams.
• Maintain detailed and accurate site records, RFI logs, and construction reports.
• Stakeholder & Interface Management:
• Coordinate closely with infrastructure and structural teams to manage interfaces between BEX and downstream works.
• Liaise with utilities and dewatering teams to ensure coordinated execution and handovers.
• Engage with the client and third-party consultants to resolve site constraints and facilitate approvals.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in major infrastructure or urban development programs, including at least 5 years in deep excavation/earthworks projects.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale excavation or enabling works in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical conditions, soil support systems, shoring, and dewatering.
• Experience in managing large contractors and multiple subcontractors in constrained timelines.
• Familiarity with Saudi regulations and working practices preferred.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
