Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Management System (TMS) Super User to serve as the key resource and subject matter expert for our organization's TMS. This role will focus on optimizing, managing, and supporting the TMS to ensure efficient transportation operations and continuous improvement. The TMS Super User will collaborate with cross-functional teams, train users, and troubleshoot system-related issues.
Responsibilities:
TMS System Expertise (Preferably MicroTransport)
- Act as the primary point of contact for all TMS-related queries and support.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the TMS and its functionalities, configurations, and integrations.
- Collaborate with software providers to resolve advanced technical issues.
User Support & Training
- Train internal teams and end-users on TMS functionalities and best practices.
- Develop and update training materials, user guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide ongoing support to ensure system adoption and effective utilization.
Operational Optimization
- Analyze transport workflows and identify areas for process improvement within the TMS.
- Optimize routes, freight costs, and delivery schedules using system tools.
- Implement and monitor system enhancements to streamline transportation operations including UAT planning and alignment phase.
System Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Monitor system performance and address technical issues promptly.
- Coordinate with IT and external vendors for system updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance within the TMS.
Reporting & Analytics
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports to track KPIs, cost analysis, and performance metrics.
- Provide insights to operations team and implement ways to create efficiency and accuracy
- Provide insights to management for decision-making and strategic planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Logistics, Procurement, IT, and Customer Service teams to align TMS operations with business objectives.
- Support system integrations between Business Tools, ERP, WMS, other Carrier’s TMS’s.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2 to 3years of experience with Transport Management Systems or logistics/transportation operations.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with DSV’s TMS platform MicroTransport and EDC.
- Knowledge of fleet management software and its integration with TMS for end-to-end transportation efficiency.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and WMS integration is a plus.
- Good knowledge in MS Offices particularly Excel (Advanced formulas/Macro-VBA/JavaScript) and familiarity of Power Suites (BI, Automate, SharePoint, App) is an advantage
- Ability to write processes & SOP documentations.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication (Written and Oral) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to train and support end-users across varying levels of technical proficiency.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Proactive and innovative.
Certifications
- Relevant certifications in TMS, Supply Chain, or Logistics (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) are preferred.
