The project:
A great opportunity for a consultant with a background in advisory services to join the development of our expanding Middle East and Africa Hub. We set up clients for success to improve delivery confidence by bringing our global learning and expertise to inform the set up and mobilisation of projects and programmes.
Our advisory services centre of excellence has a proven track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of work with both property and infrastructure clients across the globe.
We are seeking candidates with a broad and flexible skillset to complement our current team by formulating strategies and engage with the different stakeholders in the public and private sector, understanding their requirements, setting up projects for success, attracting competition, and generating value for money.

Responsible for providing senior consultancy for commission delivery and resource deployment in complex, dynamic and uncertain environments during the pre-conception, feasibility and early stages of projects and programmes. Provides comprehensive subject matter expertise on specific sector/s and/or specialist capabilities and deploys in an advisory capacity across more than one client and/or sector. Accountable for projects and programmes with lower levels of complexity and/or contributes specialist expertise to larger projects and programmes.
You’ll be responsible for:
Working with clients and our internal sector teams to develop opportunities for advisory services for new and existing clients, demonstrating the value add of influencing clients from the beginning of the project and programme lifecycle
Undertaking horizon scanning across a geographical area and contributing to thought leadership and collateral that positions Mace Advisory positively in the market.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including technical experts to ensure comprehensive project delivery, you will be engaged in work winning support across a variety of sectors pursuing and securing advisory opportunities.
You’ll need to have:
Capability in one or more of our service lines where you will deliver commissions alongside your business development opportunities - strategy and investment, strategic development partner, strategic commercial advisory, asset and programme performance, construction and productivity, people and change.
We are flexible about your professional background but expect post qualification experience in at least one of our service lines alongside your proven capability to identify and secure business development opportunities.
It is likely that you will have a professional qualification or chartership and/or post graduate level study. In addition to your technical skills, you will also have contacts across the property and infrastructure sectors, preferably in the MEA region.
You are an analytical thinker, digitally savvy and keen to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
In depth understanding of components of project and programme management and delivery (policy, strategy, client environment) related to property or infrastructure.
One specialist capability e.g. financial modelling, governance, transformation, planning, business case etc.
You’ll also have:
Degree in a relevant subject
Chartership/membership of a professional body
