Senior Associate – Day Care
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Child Care:
Provide daily care activities (meal, nap, diaper change, play) that is responsive, attentive, consistent, comforting, supportive and culturally sensitive Create opportunities for children to engage in a group activity and to learn to play with the other children Monitor any signs of health, behavior or emotional problems and collaborate with parents to prevent the problem behaviors appropriately and effectively
Child Growth and Development:
Plan, prepare and execute daily activities for each child in the section that will steer up child’s progress and counter red flags by following the activity planning principles Observe child growth and development by performing the milestone assessment Encourage the children’s exploration by preparing the environment, freedom of choice and persevering guidance
Health and Safety:
Active supervision of children through constant implementation of safety measures (e.g. monitoring sight and sound at all times, maintaining ratio) Recognize health and safety hazards and protect children from harm by performing the safety checklist and risk management Implement the hygiene standards at all times and in all areas by following the hygiene protocols and process Provides accurate and concrete report on accident, incident and other required reports Continuous observation of emergency preparedness and safety guidelines by completing the emergency bag, performing daily health check, and other safety policies
Parent Coordination:
Maintain an open and effective daily communication with parents through constant update and regular meeting Collaborate with the parents on the setting of child’s program and routine which is workable at home and at day care
