SENIOR ARCHITECT

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our design development project team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must be immediately available and will be responsible for the preparation of procurement packages, in-house production of shop drawings, and review of shop drawings submitted by subcontractors. This role requires strong architectural and project management skills to ensure the successful integration of design elements, quality control, and adherence to project specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare comprehensive procurement packages, including technical specifications, drawings, and material requirements, ensuring they meet project standards, design intent, and local regulations. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability and quality of materials.
• Lead the in-house team in producing detailed architectural shop drawings that accurately reflect design intent, project requirements, and specifications. Ensure drawings are clear, precise, and compliant with relevant codes and standards.
• Review and assess shop drawings submitted by subcontractors to ensure they align with project specifications, design criteria, and quality standards. Identify discrepancies, provide feedback, and coordinate with subcontractors for timely revisions and approvals.
• Work closely with structural, civil, MEP, and other engineering teams to ensure the effective integration of architectural elements into the overall project design. Address and resolve any coordination issues that may arise during the design and construction phases.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all architectural drawings and documents adhere to project standards, local building codes, and international best practices. Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Provide design input and make necessary modifications to architectural plans based on site conditions, project development, or client requirements. Ensure all changes are documented and communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including design drawings, review comments, and revision logs. Ensure all records are up-to-date and available for project teams, audits, and reviews.
• Provide on-site support during construction phases, addressing any architectural issues that arise, and ensuring that work is executed according to approved shop drawings and design specifications.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Architecture or a related field; a Masters Degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design development, procurement, and shop drawing production and review.
• Immediate availability to join the project team.
• Strong proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM tools.
• Excellent knowledge of architectural design principles, local building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proven experience in preparing procurement packages and managing subcontractors.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
