The Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the financial health of the organization. This position ensures accurate recording of all financial transactions, supports financial reporting, and assists in budgeting activities. The Accountant will work closely with the finance team to maintain compliance with accounting standards and support the company's growth by providing reliable financial data and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Process and record daily transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
Prepare and review financial statements to ensure they reflect the company's financial position accurately.
Collaborate with the finance team to provide data for budgeting and forecasting activities.
Monitor budget variances and report discrepancies to the Accounting & Finance Manager.
Process and review employee expense reports, invoices, and vendor payments to ensure compliance with companys policies.
Manage accounts payable and maintain vendor relationships.
Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with local financial regulations applicable to the company's industry.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Generate reports and provide financial insights to aid decision-making in line with Companys objectives.
Assist in analyzing trends in expenses and revenue, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue improvement.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the rewards and discounts or loyalty programs industry.
Previous experience in Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficiency with Odoo software is a must and other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
