Senior Accountant

700Apps is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and accounting processes. This role requires a proactive approach in handling day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing accurate financial insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting principles.
• Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff as needed.
