The Purpose of the Role
As a Senior Account Manager - Rail within Honeywell’s Building Automation (BA) Rail Vertical for Middle East, Turkey and Africa Region (META) you will play a crucial role in expanding Honeywell’s presence in the Saudi rail market. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth, securing new business opportunities, and developing strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including rail authorities, consultants, EPC contractors, and end users.
This role requires a strong sales-oriented mindset, deep market knowledge, and the ability to navigate complex rail industry procurement and decision-making processes.
You will work closely with the Rail Vertical Leader, the Regional Sales Leader and all internal involved parties from Engineering, Pricing & Estimation, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Contract to position Honeywell’s integrated solutions (Fire, Security, BMS) as the preferred choice for rail projects in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:



Own and drive revenue growth within the Saudi rail sector, ensuring achievement of assigned sales quotas. Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to identify, engage, and convert key rail projects into tangible sales opportunities. Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers, including government entities, rail authorities, consultants, EPC contractors, and end users. Position Honeywell as a strategic partner in large-scale rail infrastructure projects by articulating its value proposition and differentiated offerings. Lead end-to-end sales engagements, from opportunity identification to deal closure, ensuring a competitive advantage. Monitor project pipelines, tender releases, prequalification and bids processes, ensuring Honeywell is well-positioned for success. Work closely with the organization to develop technically and commercially optimized proposals. Lead contract negotiations, commercial discussions, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market share. Collaborate with regional and global Honeywell teams, ensuring seamless coordination of sales efforts, product support, and solution development. Sales Quota & Performance Metrics:



Annual sales target aligned with Honeywell’s growth objectives in the rail vertical. Pipeline development and conversion rate, ensuring a steady flow of high-value opportunities. Customer engagement KPIs, tracking relationship development and strategic alignment with major rail projects. Win rate tracking, ensuring successful positioning of Honeywell solutions in competitive bids. Develop C-level relationships within 10+ key End Users for key accounts Must-Have Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business. 6+ years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the rail or infrastructure sectors. Proven track record in closing high-value deals with government entities, rail authorities, and major contractors. Strong understanding of Saudi Arabia’s rail market, procurement regulations, and key stakeholders. Experience in handling complex sales cycles, contract negotiations, and large-scale tenders. Fluency in Arabic and French is preferred, in addition to strong English communication skills. Ability to engage at C-level and senior decision-maker levels, influencing long-term business strategies. Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual aspects of large infrastructure projects. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and legal. High level of self-motivation and strategic thinking, with a results-driven approach.
