We have an opportunity for a Smart Cities Business Consultant to join our Honeywell Building Automation team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Smart Cities Business Consultant will be responsible for driving sales and business development initiatives related to smart city solutions, including IoT, connected infrastructure, and urban technology innovations. This role involves engaging with cities officials, urban planners, and other key stakeholders to provide technology-based solutions that enhance urban living, increase efficiency, and promote sustainability.

Key responsibilities 


  • Primary customer interface responsible for the development of new business and new relationships in pursuit of growth for BA
  • Establishing and owning the plans and strategies aimed at serving and expanding the customer sales base in their assigned area
  • Dissemination of key messages, initiatives, and of information pertaining to the value BA brings to targeted customers, opportunities, and solutions
  • Driving sales through understanding of the target customer’s business, drivers, and organization, and an understanding of the value that BA brings to them, which allows for cross Honeywell selling
  • Partner with potential customers, establishing relationships & maximizing the business potential for both parties
  • Proactively initiates cross-functional communication across both the customer’s and Honeywell enterprises to develop a long-term partnership
  • Seeks out ways to engage the full team in pursuits and activities building relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Team with assigned Account Managers to ensure One Team environment
  • Strong experience in selling low current, ICT solution & ELV systems.
  • Deliver and overdrive the assigned sales target / AOP.
  • Meet and exceed assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives by effective up-selling and cross-selling.
  • Ensure continues update of the SFDC system with all sales related activities including (but not limited to) meeting schedules, meeting notes, contact persons, business plans and project pipelines.
  • Maintain high and accurate sales forecasting – 85% accuracy
  • Actively seeks outs, plans and leverages internal and external relationships to drive business for HBS. Establishes strategic relationships or a vision for developing a committed customer.

Smart Cities Business Consultant Responsibilities:


  • Identify and engage potential clients, including government, public sector, municipalities, and urban development organizations
  • Promote and sell smart city technologies, including smart city platforms, IoT solutions, urban infrastructure software, smart grids, connected transportation, and sustainable city technologies
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships with city planners, municipal authorities, and other stakeholders
  • Develop sales strategies tailored to the specific needs of the clients
  • Understand the challenges and goals of prospective clients related to energy efficiency, sustainability, mobility, and smart infrastructure
  • Provide expert advice and demonstrations of how smart city solutions can address urban challenges such as traffic management, public safety, energy optimization, and environmental sustainability
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and sales pitches that are tailored to the specific needs of each client
  • Establish strategic partnerships with key players in the smart city ecosystem to enhance solution offerings and competitive positioning
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in the smart city space
  • Conduct research to identify new market opportunities and potential clients
  • Provide feedback to product teams based on customer needs and market trends
  • Lead negotiations with clients to close sales deals
  • Prepare contracts, pricing models, and bid documents for smart city projects and initiatives
  • Achieve assigned sales targets
  • Comply with Honeywell sales processes and policies

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, or any related field from a reputable university
  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience
  • Strong experience and knowledge in Smart Cities Platforms and IoT Solutions
  • Deep understanding of software industry and projects
  • Proven track record in selling complex and mega projects
  • Proficient in writing and presenting proposal
  • Relevant experience in low current systems such as BMS, Access Control, Surveillance, Fire and Safety, and SCADA systems ..etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Fluent in Arabic language including reading and writing
