Job Description
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage security personnel during assigned shifts. Ensure adherence to security protocols, policies, and procedures. Conduct shift briefings and debriefings, providing clear instructions and updates. Monitor and evaluate the performance of security staff, providing feedback and support as needed. Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the premises to ensure safety and security. Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and access control systems. Identify and report potential security risks and vulnerabilities. Respond to and manage security incidents and emergencies. Investigate security breaches, thefts, and other incidents, preparing detailed reports. Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary. Maintain accurate records of incidents and actions taken. Provide training and guidance to security personnel on security procedures and best practices. Ensure all security staff are properly trained and certified. Promote a culture of safety and security awareness among staff and visitors. Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Implement and monitor access control measures to restrict unauthorized access. Communicate effectively with management, security staff, and other departments. Liaise with external agencies, contractors, and suppliers regarding security matters. Coordinate with department heads and staff to address security concerns. Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes. Recommend and implement improvements to security programs and initiatives. Participate in safety committees and contribute to the continuous improvement of security standards.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in security management is a plus. Proven experience as a Security Supervisor or in a similar role. Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. Familiarity with security protocols, procedures, and equipment. Physical fitness and the ability to patrol the premises as needed. Relevant certifications (e.g., security officer license) are required. * Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
