Job Overview

Brief Introduction to the School: Opened 40 years ago - this school offers dual teaching with students working towards US or Saudi diplomas. The school is also IB PYP and MYP authorised and hosts 2000 students taught by over 200 teaching staff - of which 20% are international expat staff. The schools are separated in to Boys and Girls' schools and as per Saudi law - Males can teach in the Boys school and females in the Girls. Facilities are good and the staff are tight knit.

Location Overview: Dhahran is close to the Saudi and Bahrain border. A small city originally created for the families and staff of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (ARAMCO) it's been purpose built to ensure its residents feel as comfortable as possible. Dhahran and Saudi itself is developing facilities at a rapid pace with western style amenities popping up as the country develops fast - further facilities can be found in nearby Khobar - 15km away.

Primary Duties:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the US, IB, and Saudi curricula
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to ensure student success

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of post-qualifying experience teaching ICT
• DP experience is required for this role
• Teaching subject must match your degree subject (Ministry rules)
• Experience with the US and/or IB curricula is desirable, but other transferable curriculum experience will be considered
• International or EAL experience is an advantage
• The academic staff is selected for their genuine interest in their subject and the ability to convey that interest to students and raise expectations for success
