Job Summary:
The Safety Manager will oversee all safety-related activities within infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. This role involves implementing safety programs, conducting training, and fostering a culture of safety across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Lead safety training programs for employees and subcontractors, ensuring that all personnel are educated on safety practices and emergency procedures.
Investigate accidents and incidents, analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Collaborate with project managers and teams to integrate safety into all phases of project planning and execution.
Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records as required by regulatory agencies.
Stay updated on industry best practices, safety trends, and regulatory changes to ensure the organization remains compliant.
Foster a safety-first culture by promoting awareness and accountability among all staff.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in safety management, preferably in infrastructure or construction.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA) is preferred.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to analyze data and prepare clear safety reports.
Proficient in safety management software and tools.
