The Regional Director, Value & Access is responsible for representing Cepheid before Middle East and North Africa (MENA) with a focus on Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) policymakers and related stakeholders and will develop and implement long term plans for all MENA and KSA Payers e.g. public, private, employer-provided for our tests. This position collaborates within the internal and external matrix organization to identify and pursue-test areas of mutual opportunity with stakeholders based on better health outcomes for patients and appropriate medical policies that reflect the publishes clinical evidence and guidelines, as well as policy and legislative opportunities for Cepheid’s diagnostic tests.This position is part of the Value & Access organization and will be located in Riyad, Saudi Arabia.  This position will report to the Vice President, Value & Access who oversees Market Access Strategy, Health Economics and Outcomes Research and Regional Market Access Leaders.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Develop both short- and long-term strategic business plans, identify KPI’s to optimize market access with payers that creates better health outcomes for the patients and solicit and assess competitor position as part of account plan development.Represent Cepheid through advocacy with government officials and key staff/advisors.Develop political, policy and influencer networks for Cepheid to cover key stakeholder targets and to build and maintain effective networks.Work closely with internal stakeholders (Medical, Scientific Affairs, Business Development, Legal, Commercial, etc.) to provide input on resource allocation decisions for targeted KSA customers. Identify Cepheid and payer customer needs and develop appropriate/relevant offerings and solutions (resources, programs, and services) to address customer needs and maximize value for the customer and our company.Become a knowledge broker for internal stakeholders to grow government affairs and market access understanding to include opportunities and barriers.Lead KSA initiatives to protect and advance patient access to Cepheid's diagnostics and its business units before policymakers, elected officials, trade and business associations, as well as other allies and influencers.The essential requirements of the job include:Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years Managed Care experience in payer account executive/leader role (e.g. Payer, Institutional, Integrated Delivery segments) or 10 years of combined Managed Care-related experience at the Sr. Manager/Director level (e.g. Customer Team Leader, Managed Care Marketing, Solutions, Planning) OR Masters or Doctoral degree with 8+ years of health policy/advocacy or same experience4 years direct leadership experienceDemonstrated business acumen (understanding broad business implications through experience working in Marketing, Sales, Managed Care business and/or health care advocacy, health policy consulting, or policy think tank)Experience working all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders, with the proven ability to influence for greater outcomeStrong strategic and tactical planning skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skillsDemonstrated consultative selling skills with clinical and scientific knowledgeIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: • 10+ years of direct leadership experienceCepheid, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
