QUALITY ASSURANCE AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand application functionality and provide input on testability of features.
• Develop and implement test automation frameworks and tools.
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure product quality.
• Report and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Continuously improve test automation practices, tools, and processes.
• Maintain and update test documentation and test cases.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and automation requirements are met.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficient release cycles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, C#).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis CI, GitLab CI).
• Solid understanding of software development and QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent certification.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
