The QS Manager position entails managing project costs from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring value for money, overseeing cost control, procurement, contract administration, and risk management, and delivering projects within budget and timeline while maintaining quality standards.


Key Accountabilities
  • Prepare, monitor, and control budgets to ensure projects are delivered within financial targets.
  • Oversee the tendering and procurement process, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality.
  • Manage contracts, including drafting, negotiation, and compliance, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct valuations and manage payment applications, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of funds.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to costs, contracts, and project execution.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of variations in project scope, preparing change orders and claims as needed.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and provide insights to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align financial goals with project objectives.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with industry standards, company policies, and legal requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering .
  • Expertise in construction methodologies, materials, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • In-depth understanding of contracts, procurement methods, and legal frameworks (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, or JCT contracts).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess costs and risks effectively.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in calculations and reports.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools like AutoCAD, MS Excel, Primavera, or specialized quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or Candy).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts and disputes effectively.
  • Capability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and provide guidance to junior staff.
  • Decision-making skills to manage project costs and mitigate risks proactively.
